Here is the opportunity to buy a rare and luxurious Chevrolet Imperial Pickup from 1935.
Imperial was never sold in the US but only for the export market and was built in a few places in Europe in small series, including Antwerp, Copenhagen and Stockholm.
Imperial was the most comfortable chassis that Chevrolet had in 1935 with kneeing front suspension and 317cm wheelbase.
The bulk of the Imperial became large luxury convertibles or 7-seater limousines. This is the only known model in pickup design, built by the reputable body company Hägglunds & sons. It was built for a company in Lycksele that used it as a delivery car 1935-1945. It is the only Imperial pickup that Hägglunds & sons built.
The car runs as comfortably as an Imperial Cabriolet and not at all bouncy and bumpy like other pickups from the same era.
For many years in the 90s to the beginning of 2000, the car was completely renovated from basically scrap to finer than new and is still in very good condition as can be seen in the pictures. Since the renovation, it has always been parked in a heated garage and driven very little.
There is a little fix to get it in absolute top condition, the flatbed has been repainted after vandalization (scratched paint) which then does not have the same quality as the rest of the car.
The car is sold with tires that have a white tire side, the black ones are no longer available.
PS auction has not inspected or tested the car.
Details and description are made by the owner and it is up to the buyer to inspect the car upon delivery.
The buyer picks up the car from the seller after PS auction has received full payment.
