Sunflower pellets are 100% natural and environmentally friendly fuel.
During combustion, a small amount of carbon dioxide is released, which is comparable to the amount released during natural decomposition.
The pellet is made from the husks of the seeds, which are produced as a by-product in plants for the production of sunflower oil. The husks of the seeds are pressed with great force at high temperature to form a pellet.
Sunflower pellets are approximately 10–30 mm long and 6–8 mm in diameter. Sunflower pellets have a very high calorific value (19.6 - 20.8 MJ / kg) and are organic. It can be used in households as boilers for the production of district heating and electricity, a good substitute for coal.
Sunflower husk pellets are also a good alternative to wood pellets. The product is also used in biomass power plants and industrial boilers.
The ash content of sunflower pellets is 2-3%, while the ash content of wood pellets is 0.5-1%.
