Item information:
Art photographer Lena Öritsland's work "Crane 42 between crane legs" printed on aluminum composite and a signed copy of the book "Legacy after Warven". Raw, beautiful and timeless! Through her camera lens, Lena Öritsland manages to capture exactly what is the essence of Gothenburg.
When the Maritime Museum invited to a new opening after several years of extensive renovation, it was the art photographer Lena Öritsland who had the honor of inaugurating the premises with her exhibition "The legacy of the shipyards" where she together with the journalist Maria Bard let us meet people and memories from the major shipyards in Gothenburg. Everything is framed by Lena's art photographs of rusty tools, containers and cranes at the now closed Götaverken Cityvarvet. The photographs were taken in 2015, just before everything was sold out and the era of the large shipyards was over for good.
