Mercedes Benz 230 SL from 1967. Pagoda.

This car has been completely/totally renovated by a Mercedes enthusiast who has now passed the time. He has renovated cars for Helge Karinen Sparreholm's castle/museum, which is now run by the family after Helge's passing.

The renovation has been done for many years after the purchase in 1996 as owner no. 2 in Sweden. The car was first owned by a "neighbor" who bought it and put the car in a garage. He never inspected the car. The car was refurbished and inspected for the first time in 2016 with 7230 miles on the odometer. The car has now traveled 7239 miles. Driven 9 miles after renovation/inspection.

When the car was inspected on 18-09-20, it was then driven to a staging area on 18-09-30 and is now still there. Has been driven out for photography in the summer of 2022. when these photos were taken.

 

New interior, leather upholstery and new cabriolet.

The car is NOT at PS premises. However, it is found near Skellefteå.

Change of ownership/registration documents have current owner. If the car is sold at Export, PS will take over the car temporarily to facilitate the Export.

Remarks

It says Mercedes Benz 230 SC in the registration papers. The owners are working to get the Transport Board to change this to the right = SL. If the current owner does not make it, this is charged to the new buyer.

The car's engine needs to be adjusted in the fuel supply. Currently, the car runs a little unevenly and leaks engine oil when the engine gets hot. Possibly some gasket or hose.

The gear lever has come loose from the gearbox or from the bracket. Could be the bakelite packing that is ghosting. If you just hold the lever, you can drive. This is something that the new owner has to work with.

The recycling can that receives water from the radiator is loose.

 

Hidden errors may occur. Only light tests are done and the most information comes from the current owner.

Payment must have been received by us before you can pick up the goods, so pay in time. 
Invoice copy and proof of payment must be brought to the pick up. The buyer shall at the appointed time arrange collection, any disassembly / packing of the item.

Disposal

Disposal means that a client has goods that they wish to sell. For example, it may be a supply / storage that is needs to be emptied, or that the company has restructured and does not need office space / equipment / etc anymore. This differs from bankruptcy since it's a voluntary sale.

Three ways to bid

Classic - The bidding is fully handled by the system. The goal is to always place a bid right above the competing bidders but no more than that. The bidding service automatically places bids in your name up to your maxbid. The minimum bidding intervalls vary between items.


Comfort - Works like the Classic bid but with the difference that the system takes the current bid and reserve price into consideration in the cases there is one. A good choice if you know you’ll bid high but don’t want to get caught up in bidding below the reserve price.


Active - The bid will be the one you place and is handled manually. Good to use if you want to place a large bid from the start and take home the whole auction, but requires attention from the bidders part in case other bidder might have maxbids in place.

No reserve price

There is no reserve price for this item. That means that the highest bid will always be a winning bid.

Reserve price not reached

The bid has not yet reached the reserve price which is the price that the seller is willing to sell the item for. If the auction ends without the reserve price being reached, one of the following will happen. 1) The seller accepts the bid and an invoice is sent to the bidder within 3 working days. 2) A representative from PS Auction calls the bidder to negotiate the price within 3 working days. 3) The seller does NOT accept the bid. The item is either not sold at all or re-auctioned.

Reserve price reached

The bid has reached the reservation price the seller is willing to sell the item for. Unless something unforeseen happens, the bidder will receive an invoice for the item after the auction has ended.
