THE SWAN - BORÅS
Former steam sloop built with riveted iron hull at Ljunggren's Mechanical Workshop
in Kristianstad in 1882, one of Sweden's oldest passenger ships still in operation.

The steam engine was in the ship until 1960, when it was replaced by
a diesel engine. This was in turn replaced by the one that still
sitting in the ship, 1965. It is well serviced over the years and in general
seen inexhaustible. At "shrimp speed" (approx. 5 knots) the strain is minimal,
approx. 800 rpm.

- approx. 25 passengers on cruise.
History:
Delivered in 1882 as an inspection vessel to Sölvesborg's Harbor Directorate.
