Description MP180 Multiplane planer
With the MP180 you have all the advantages of a combined planer and planer and can thus produce wood with completely smooth surfaces and e.g. square shape. The machine also has a side cutter in the bottom table where the planer sits. Take your bent or cupped rough-sawn lumber and make finished square boards and moldings.
You start by using the top table for planing and make two adjacent sides completely smooth and at right angles to each other. Then you can use the bottom table to plane the last two sides at the same time, and plan the timber until it gets its intended dimensions, thereby avoiding an extra processing step. Milling knives can be inserted into the side cutter to give the possibility to also mill profiles. The horizontal cutter can also be equipped with profile knives with a maximum profile of 2 mm.
By using the horizontal cutter for planing and the vertical side cutter for milling, you can use the machine for planing, planing and milling without having to reconfigure the machine or make extensive adjustments between each step.
This design allows you to produce plywood in two passes instead of the usual six to eight passes required in standard machines. This unique combination makes the MP180 the obvious choice for craftsmen looking for cost-effectiveness, versatility and precision in one machine.
