Ford Mainline from 1955, sold in Sweden, with an interesting history.
The Mainline model was manufactured in the United States between 1952-1956.
This example was sold new in Sweden and spent its first years as a police car in Motala. The current owner has owned the car since 2011 and has taken good care of it.
It has been previously repainted in a lovely two-tone metallic finish and has a stylish matching interior. Extra chrome details enhance the impression.
Extra equipped with an unusual gangster cap and period fog lights.
The engine is a straight 6-cylinder of 3.7 liters and about 120 hp, 3-speed manual transmission.
The engine runs well and the car is easy to drive. Equipped with air shock absorbers in the rear and modern rims and tires. There is a modern stereo installed.
Some "good to know" from the owner: some vibrations at highway speeds, oil moisture under the engine. The paint looks good but has some age-related wear in places, doors may need to be adjusted for perfect fit. Temp gauge uncertain function.
In summary, a lovely American that is ready to drive and ready to go to this summer's car meets.
The car is located in Luleå and can be picked up by arrangement with the auctioneer. For viewing before the auction, please contact the auctioneer. (lars.nilsson@ps.se)
