Videoscope Olympus Iplex RX purchased in 2015 but at present not working due to the tip of the fiber optic where the lamp and the lens are seated have been worn off.

At the time of purchase, the video copy has been supplied with 2 "Tip Adapters" which are threaded and screwed on at the tip of a robotized arm with fiber optics in, but the adapter that was put on during use has worn off and taken along with the thread. The worn part is not available. The second tip adapter, which is a 90 degree sideview tip (IV94-AT100Sl / FF IPLEX TIP ADAPTOR), however, comes in a box and included (condition unknown). See the last three pictures.

Figure 2 shows the worn end.

According to Olympus, this is not something they promise. The only way they fix the error is to change the entire robotized arm including the fiber optic which costs about $ 100,000. In order to avoid this cost, one should therefore be able to repair the video copy itself.

New price 2015 was SEK 240,000 excluding VAT.

Three ways to bid

Classic - The bidding is fully handled by the system. The goal is to always place a bid right above the competing bidders but no more than that. The bidding service automatically places bids in your name up to your maxbid. The minimum bidding intervalls vary between items.


Comfort - Works like the Classic bid but with the difference that the system takes the current bid and reserve price into consideration in the cases there is one. A good choice if you know you’ll bid high but don’t want to get caught up in bidding below the reserve price.


Active - The bid will be the one you place and is handled manually. Good to use if you want to place a large bid from the start and take home the whole auction, but requires attention from the bidders part in case other bidder might have maxbids in place.

No reserve price

There is no reserve price for this item. That means that the highest bid will always be a winning bid.

Reserve price not reached

The bid has not yet reached the reserve price which is the price that the seller is willing to sell the item for. If the auction ends without the reserve price being reached, one of the following will happen. 1) The seller accepts the bid and an invoice is sent to the bidder within 3 working days. 2) A representative from PS Auction calls the bidder to negotiate the price within 3 working days. 3) The seller does NOT accept the bid. The item is either not sold at all or re-auctioned.

Reserve price reached

The bid has reached the reservation price the seller is willing to sell the item for. Unless something unforeseen happens, the bidder will receive an invoice for the item after the auction has ended.
