The 3M ™ Peltor ™ WS Lite-Com ™ headset is a hearing protector with a built-in communication radio and a Bluetooth link for wireless connection to a mobile phone. This means that you do not miss incoming phone calls and you do not have to interrupt the work of talking on the phone even if you are in a noisy environment. With WS Lite-Com you can also listen to music saved on the phone, listen to radio via the web or music via Spotify.
Built-in communication radio in the headset
Peltor WS Lite-Com has a built-in communication radio in the headset, with 8 channels of frequency PMR 446 MHz, which are license-free in Europe. For example, they talk directly with our Zodiac Freetalk Pro . The maximum range of communication radio in WS Lite-Com is about 2 km outdoors, with a maximum output of 200 mW. The communication radio can be used completely "hands-free" when you activate the VOX (Voice Operated Transmission) function, which causes the radio to start transmitting when you talk in the microphone and the transmission ends when you stop talking. In the meantime, you can continue to work without taking your hands off work. Of course, there is also a traditional PTT (Push To Talk) when you press a button on the cover every time you talk.
Wireless phone calls with Bluetooth
With the built-in Bluetooth link, WS Lite-Com can be connected to a mobile phone. This means that telephone calls are handled completely wirelessly and the phone can always be stored in the pocket safely. The ringtone for incoming calls is clearly heard in the headset and by pressing the Bluetooth button on the left cover you choose to answer or reject the call. Advanced DSP algorithms in WS Lite-Com electronically filter out ambient noise and make it possible to talk on the phone even in noisy environments. The receiver has no problem hearing you instead of the noise around you. If you receive calls on the communication radio while having an ongoing phone call via Bluetooth, they are handled simultaneously. The call via the communication radio is heard in the right cover while the phone call is heard in the left cover.
Listen to music on your mobile
The Bluetooth solution for the mobile phone also allows you to stream wirelessly for example music to WS Lite-Com. Then you can listen to your own favorite music stored on the phone. You can also connect your phone to the Internet and listen to radio via the web, podcast or music via Spotify. If you receive an incoming call on the communication radio while listening to music, the music is automatically lowered. WS Lite-Com can also be connected to other devices with Bluetooth function, such as MP3, communication radio and DECT.
Hearing secures your hearing
Via stereo microphones on the headset, you can hear ambient sounds and talk to people around you, without lifting the cover and risking your hearing. The level dependent function attenuates pulse noise to a maximum of 82 dB and weak sounds are amplified so you can even hear them better than without the headset.
