An unusual car in very good condition with history that has had a great impact on motorism in Sweden
Hupmobile was manufactured in Detroit USA between 1920-1940 and was for its time a solid car with good driving characteristics and good speed resources.
A Swedish engineer worked at HUP in the United States in the 1920s and moved home to Sweden where he later joined and developed the first Volvo car model ÖV4 more known as Jakob. One can assume that Hupmoble had to be an example for there are many similarities between the two car models.
The hopmobile was used extensively in Sweden, among other things, as a taxi in the Indalen until the 1940s and the taxi meter still remains, when the war then started the car was stopped.
Recently, the car has been completely refurbished by the car enthusiast to a very good condition and most of it is original, it has been spent many hours and a lot of money on the car.
Seat upholstery is made of buffalo leather and is said to be original, the car is arranged for 5 people.
There are side windows to mount should you be surprised by rain.
The 4-cylinder engine of about 40 hp spins nicely and pulls away the big car really well.
It comes with some interesting original documents (see photos)
Last year the car was bought by the famous car collector "SkrotKalle i Eda" which unfortunately passed away before he was allowed to enjoy his car.
The car is sold for Karl Adolfsson's estate.
In summary, this is an opportunity to buy a very unusual car (only in Europe?) In very good fully drivable condition and with unbeatable Swedish history.
