It is not specified exactly how warm the water should be, more than enough and comparable to an emergency shower installed indoors. It is equipped with a frost guard and also with extra roof to reduce the heat effect of the sun with a view to bacterial growth.

At delivery 2017, the emergency shower met the following requirements. Note that the requirements may have changed and likewise the item may lack the parts / details required to meet the requirements that are currently being set. The condition of the functions is not checked.

Supplied tank showers must at least meet the requirements for emergency and eye showers as prescribed by the Swedish Work Environment Authority's AFS 1999: 7. The following requirements must be met for the tank shower.
• Combined body (76 l / min) and eye shower (12 l / min) with flush time capacity of at least 15 minutes for each purpose. (According to AFS 1999: 7) The eye shower should be possible to mount inside the same space as the emergency shower.
• The tank shower must be equipped to provide temperate water (heating / cooling) and with a thermometer. (According to AFS 1999: 7)
• ATEX adapted for zone 1 and zone 2
• The emergency shower must be equipped with floor activation
• Sun protection mounted on the tank to reduce the heating of the tank when exposed to sun.
• Side panels including back
• Alarm with sound and light when the shower is triggered.
• Lighting inside the emergency shower / under the tank
• Level measurement / indication
• Antibacterial fluid to maintain good water quality.
• Foot grille / collection pool for flushing water with the possibility to divert flushing water from the emergency shower
• Ergonomically adapted (1.0-1.5 m above ground) connection for water filling.
