From the former legendary Racing Plast Burträsk (RPB) we sell bodies, spare parts, plugs and molds, etc.
It is said that there are spare parts for most cars. But we do not really know if everything for all cars is there.
Content:
2 RPB GT2 bodies. One that can be seen in the picture. Damage exists. And one that sits in the mold that we know nothing about.
1 pc Plug RPB GT2.
1 pc Form for RPB GT2.
Other shapes. We do not know if all the molds for all parts exist.
Large stock of accessories for RPB GT2. We do not know if all the details are available for all cars.
What we have not found are sheet metal details such as hinges, moldings, locks, etc. If it is found, it naturally follows.
It also comes with 1-2 Beach Buggy. with form. We know very little about these. But they are included in the purchase.
A base plate / VW is included in the purchase. If buyers want to include it. The condition is difficult to determine. We are working on finding registration papers. If there is?
It is up to the buyer to plan for collection himself, which should take place no later than 19/11 -21, but preferably earlier.
The buyer can contact the administrator pelle.holmstrom@ps.se regarding collection and planning. Feel free to do so after the auction has ended.
Info from Thomas Lundström's website.
Number of manufactured RPB GT2
Of the first series of six bodies that were manufactured, one car was completed, and to my knowledge, only three additional bodies were sold.
The last two bodies are still unsold. And it is these two bodies and lots of accessories we at PS sell.
To get an idea of RPB history and these famous bodies, we have been allowed by Thomas Lundström from Burträsk to use his website as an information flow. See link below.
Brief history of Racing Plast Burträsk (RPB) Information partly taken from sellers and Thomas Lundström's website.
In January 1966, the company Racing Plast was founded, which was later changed to Racing Plast Burträsk (RPB). Bodies / cars were built primarily for competition activities that also won several Swedish Championship and European Cup titles.
RPB began to develop a car that could be driven on public roads and it was named RPB Piraya and was presented in 1968. Low form with a two-seater plastic body with gull-wing doors. Made as a kit Car that was to be mounted on a VW base plate.
In 1969 came a further developed car. Piraya RPB GT with standard doors, etc.
In June 1970, new rules came into force for continued production. After this came the devastating fire that destroyed the entire factory with cars, molds and plugs etc.
In 1982, the Swedish Transport Safety Agency decided to abolish the provisions on crash tests. The company had then changed its operations to industrial production but then resumed car production. The new GT was back (GT2) but no major production took place because they received a large order from the defense.
