MORRIS MINOR 1000
Morris Minor was introduced at the London Salon in 1948 as Minor MM. It had an old-fashioned side valve engine and split windshield. The headlights were mounted low on each side of the radiator grille, which spoiled both light flow and appearance. The US market did not approve of this arrangement but had to move the headlights up on the front fenders. In 1956, the car was further upgraded with a larger 948 cc overhead valve engine - hence the name Minor 1000 - and other improvements such as the entire windshield.
The car being auctioned is a Minor 1000 made in 1959. It has had few owners and during the years since 2003 when it was included in the current owner's collection, it has been used sparingly. The car is completely stainless with new chrome bumpers, refurbished brakes, has a complete and nice red leather interior and new red carpets. The engine runs excellently. The car is delivered newly inspected without remarks.
