Brothers Richard and Allan Jensen started Jensen Motors in 1930. In the years leading up to World War II, a limited number of beautiful sports cars were built with engines from Standard Auto. During World War II, military vehicles were manufactured.
After the Second World War, they began to manufacture their own sports cars, at the same time as they made cars for Austin-Healey and Volvo, among others. During the years 1960-63, the P 1800 was manufactured, before Volvo itself was given the opportunity to manufacture the car in Gothenburg.
In 1966, the sports model Interceptor was introduced. The car was designed by Carrozzeria Touring in Milan and equipped with a Chrysler V-8 of 330 hp and Chrysler automatic transmission. It can handle 0-100 in 7 seconds even though it weighs 2 tons.
Important to note the difference between an MK1 and an Interceptor MK1.
MK 1 was made before the war, after the war the car was named Interceptor MK 1.
