Nice 1985 Chevrolet Blazer with 6.2 liter V8 diesel engine and automatic transmission. Starts nicely even in sub-zero temperatures.
The car has started renovation. The engine has been lifted out and painted, new starter motor, generator, new freewheel for the fan, new steering gear for the power steering, new master brake cylinder.
Underneath, most of the suspension has been replaced, the adhesive patches haven't had time to tear off the leaf suspension yet. New inner fenders and brake parts front and rear.
The bodywork has survived rust well, although there are tendencies towards surface rust. The worst is on the right rear wheel arch but cannot be claimed to be larger amounts, see pictures. The underside is painted and the frame is healthy.
Inside, we have original blue interior from 1985. Cracks in the dashboard are common for the model and the windshield also has a crack on the passenger side, see picture.
The driver's seat has a tear in the seat and there are certainly traces of use, but overall the interior can be considered to be in fairly good condition considering its age.
The assessment is that the car is a good subject where much of the mechanical parts have been reviewed and refurbished. Remaining for the new owner to either drive as is and enjoy or add the finishing touches to fix the visuals.
